The Fundamentals

So, what exactly are “the fundamentals”? 

All successful musicians rely on a core set of skills in order to produce the sounds we call music. Things like, timing (consistent tempo), pitch, critical listening, accuracy, timbre (good tone), and the ability to blend with another musician (duet playing) are the foundation upon which good music is built. 

Without these core skills, sounds just won’t sound, well, very musical.
